January 2021 and V8.4

Happy New Year!

It’s been a little while since our last blog post update. However updates to Heart Analyzer continue roll out. We’ve just recently shipped Heart Analyzer V8.4! This added new features to help you monitor and analyze your Heart Rate Notifications, VO2Max, Heart Rate Variability, Blood Oxygen Saturation and Heart Rate Recovery. All these metrics now offer real insight for your Health, I really encourage you to take a look.

Recently, Apple Fitness + launched and interestingly, an iPad app also came with it. Why is this interesting? Well for now you can just view the workout videos on iPad. But it seems logical people will soon want to view past workouts and potentially access all their Apple Health records and data.

With this in mind it seems likely that this summer we’ll see Apple Health support reach iPad and probably the Mac via the iCloud sync. This will allow for Heart Analyzer with all its metrics and charts to make the jump to the big screen.

For now, this is mere speculation, but in the background we’re already investigating the challenge!

Beyond that, the reach of the app still continues to improve and impress as it gets to wider audiences. In 2021 I look forward to receiving user feedback and working it into the app. This is how over the past five years the app has been able to offer so much.

All the best

Simon
