Health Hive FAQs
-
How accurate is data from the Hive?
Health Hive uses real Health metrics anonymised and then uploaded to a secure database. This allows uses to browse against various Health types such as Resting Heart Rate or Step Cont and see how their stats compare.
You should consider the target audience of the app when questioning how representative Health Hive users are of the wider public. The Health Hive database is more likely to be skewed towards users interested in their Heath & Fitness.
-
Why is the app subscription based?
Health Hive operates by securely storing anonymised user Health profiles. This requires ongoing server maintenance and coupled with the active development of the app, these are the main reasons why the pricing model for the app is a subscription.
This is in contrast to apps like Heart Analyzer where the onetime purchase covers the app operating in it’s private, offline state at all times.
-
Can I share my subscription with Family?
Yes you can! All Health Hive Premium subscriptions support sharing across enabled Apple Family Shares. One you have subscribed on one device within the Family, download the app on another Family member’s device. You can then restore the Premium purchase to enable all the app features.
