Introducing Heart Hive
The astute amongst you may notice we’re not had as many blog post or Heart Analyzer updates recently. Today this hopefully all will become clear as to why!
Introducing Heart Hive - Share & Compare Health Metrics
I started this app because I wanted to address a key concept area of insight for users interested in their Health. Heart Analyzer already offers what I hope is leading and insightful metrics and charts on a users heart rate data. This is all recorded by Apple Watch and provides a large part of the puzzle to a good understanding of your Health.
A second part of the puzzle is advice and guidance. Heart Analyzer by design never tells you what is good or bad with your data. It seeks to give no medical advice and not A replacement for a doctor in any way. The reason for this is simple, the world of health and medicine is full of opinions with most answers being a world away from The simplicity of black and white answers. I am not a doctor, and I do not want to replace them either! I have strived to keep this distinction clear in the app that it is not a replacement for substantive medical advice.
So how can I offer more to complete the puzzle?
Enter Heart Hive
What if instead of telling you what is good and bad, you could see if yourself how are you compare with others.
What if you didn’t have complete understanding on how you are doing with various health metrics, but could gain insight by seeing where are you fit in your demographic.
This is what Heart Hive aims to address. The app lets you create an anonymous profile of specific, relevant metrics and then submit it into what we call the Hive. From here you can then access various charts and insights to help you see and understand how are you compare against others.
The app offers a wide variety of supported Health types including some you probably never knew your iPhone was even recording!
We have also been able to use the opportunity the Hive creates to make some fun global boards letting you see how countries compare.
This is just the beginning for Heart Hive. I really hope you enjoy the new app and get some fantastic benefit from it.
Please remember to share it with friends and family, so that we can strengthen the Hive and further improve all user insights!
I would also very much welcome any feedback and of course, feature requests!
